In May 2003, Rouge Productions LLC was founded by Ching-Chung (Daniel) Chen and Yuan-I (Jennifer) Hsia. Having already collaborated on a variety of projects, Daniel and Jennifer founded the company to develop and produce commercials, music videos and high quality independent features that would promote and showcase the talents of innovative auteurs with unique visions.
In 2006 Daniel took over the company with an interest in focusing on features. With a desire to explore the world of film making outside the confines of conventional Hollywood cinema, Daniel wished to pursue narratives supported by aesthetically relevant visuals, regardless of genre, that could not only entertain the audience but also have an impact either socially, politically or more importantly, emotionally.
This is Daniel’s vision.
